Welcome to the official website of "The Girl In The Cupboard" by Evangelist Cheryl Ann Gajadhar. About the author Evangelist Cheryl ann Gajadhar has been serving the lord Jesus Christ for many years. A woman of faith, with a passion for life. Evangelist Cherylann has a great love for people. To date she has written (9) other books which will be published soon - among them are: “The encounter of the one foot man”, “The widowed grief”, “The abandoned basket”, “No polka dot bride”, “The cry of a child’s heart”, “The double minded man”, “The opposition” etc. Ms. Gajadhar is also a song writer and has to date written (15) songs.

The Girl In The Cupboard is a touching story. The work is an autobiographical portrayal of my life from childhood to adulthood. My experience runs the gamut of abuse with its attendant ills: insecurity, loneliness, self-doubt, self-hate, confusion and impaired choices. Nevertheless I overcame and am actually into my ninth book. The book commands respect as an exposé of the reality of life. It makes public someone’s hidden reality.

Quoting from Mrs.Pearl Griffith’s presentation at the launch, “It is a very worthy book and needs the attention of all: guardians, caregivers, officials in various Ministries, teachers, pastors …must get hold of this book… someone had to voice it, and I am thankful today for being that voice for my nation and even the world… for mothers children, and families who had no voice or advocate to fight for them and are still afraid to speak out.” This book, I must say, works as a tool, a vehicle of self-therapy and it has also been very helpful to many who have read it.

'The Girl In The Cupboard Goes To School workbook' is a workbook designed for children of primary and Secondary schools in the Caribbean.
This follow-up material aligned to the autobiography "The Girl In The Cupboard" will doubtless prove to be a handy and valuable tool, particularly in the hands of teachers involved in the Social Studies and Health & Family Life Education areas.
Guided by thematic concerns such as "Self & Interpersonal Relationships' and "Sexuality & Sexual Health", the various questions seek to promote healthy discussion of issues that have become increasingly current in modern-day Caribbean cultures.
It is presented in the hope that many of our Caribbean children will have a voice and experience emotionally and psychologically wholesome lives despite the experience of abuse.
